Supervisors Powers and Fudoli back Collins, citing hard work and conservative principles
(Clarence, NY) – Elma Supervisor Dennis Powers and Lancaster Supervisor Dino Fudoli have endorsed Chris Collins for Congress. Collins is running for the newly drawn 27th Congressional District that includes all or part of eight counties spread across Western New York and the Finger Lakes. Both supervisors say they are supporting Collins because of his fiscal record as Erie County Executive and commitment to conservative principles.
“I want to thank Denny and Dino for their support and endorsement,” said Collins. “Both these men know what’s at stake in this race for Congress. We need a federal government focused on core conservative principles of less spending, lower taxes, personal responsibility and job creation. The future of our kids and grandchildren depends on it.”
“Chris became a successful businessman the old fashioned way – he earned it,” said Elma Supervisor Dennis Powers. “Working as a shoe salesman to put himself through college, Chris knew that with hard work, he could live the American Dream. Sadly, that dream seems less obtainable today because our nation’s economy is floundering, our debt is skyrocketing and our spending is out-of-control. Chris has the background and skills necessary to help get our economy and country working again.”
“Chris will be a strong voice for our community in Congress,” said Lancaster Supervisor Dino Fudoli. “Chris understands that to fix something, sometimes you have to make tough decisions. He made those decisions as county executive, lived up to his promises, and turned Erie County around. I have no doubt that Chris will take that same drive and those same conservative principles to Congress to help fix our economy and our country.”
