Town GOP committees support businessman’s candidacy for 27th District
(Clarence, NY) – Republican town committees in both Boston and Newstead have endorsed Chris Collins for Congress. Collins is running for the newly drawn 27th Congressional District that spans eight counties in Western New York and the Finger Lakes. A private sector businessman with a record of cutting government spending as a county executive, Collins has also been recently endorsed by key Republican leaders in Niagara County and the New York State Conservative Party.
“I want to thank the members of the GOP in both Boston and Newstead for endorsing my candidacy,” said Collins. “It was a honor to serve as their county executive for four years and they know my record of cutting spending, reducing the size of government and ensuring value for their hard-earned tax dollars. My mission in Washington will be the same.”
“The hardworking taxpayers of Boston know they can trust Chris Collins to do the right thing,” said Karl Simmeth, Chairman of the Boston Republican Committee. “As our county executive, Chris lived up to every one of his promises. And we know he will do the same thing in Washington as our Congressman. We need a representative who shares our values and doesn’t turn their back on us when they are casting their votes on the House floor.”
“We need to get our economy moving again and Chris Collins knows what it takes,” said John Klodzinski, Chairman of the Newstead Republican Committee. “He has a record in the private sector of creating and saving good paying jobs right here in our community. Chris knows Congress has to get serious about our out-of-control debt, runaway spending, and anemic job growth. We need a real leader with economic know how, not a rubber stamp for President Obama and his failed economic policies.”
Already the Conservative Party candidate, Collins is running in a Republican Party primary. That election is set for June 26, 2012. For more information on Chris Collins, visit www.collinsforcongress.com.
